I Just Signed up. What to do now?

So you have just signed up for one of the WESH UK Hosting accounts and are not sure where to begin, so let us offer our advice.

Your welcome email
******************

By now you should have received your "Hosting Account Details" email with everything you need to get you started. If you're not sure about any of the information enclosed then please ask us, were here to help.

At the beginning of this information, you will find some general info about your web hosting account such as "Server Name", domain name, login details etc. This information may be needed if you open a support ticket online via our website or if you need to call us. (It's 0800-5-999-404 if you do)

Your Website Control Panel (cPanel)
*******************************

When you log into your website control panel (cPanel) for the first time, please check your contact email address is set correctly.

You can find this at the bottom of the page in "Contact Information". If you don't keep this up to date then you will not be notified of any potential problems with this hosting plan.

You should also familiarise yourself with your website control panel (cPanel), read the instructions we have in the cPanel section carefully and spend some time playing with your cPanel until you are comfortable using it as it plays a key role in the life of your website.

You might also want to watch the cPanel tutorial videos on cPanels' own YouTube Channel as these also explain how everything works and how to use your Control Panel.

Setting up Email Accounts
**********************

Start thinking about what email accounts you are going to require for your website. Once you know what email address(s) you want to use you should log into your cPanel using the details sent to you in your welcome email and click on the "Email Accounts" icon to set up your email.

If you would like some ideas, feedback, and do's-and-donts then give us a call for a chat...

More and more people are avoiding generic email addresses like info@ and sales@ now due to spam so you may want to be a little creative with your email accounts.

Securely note down the email address and the password you create for each one. This is a common cause of problems, not taking notes.

Personal 1-2-1 Onboarding Session
******************************

If all the above seems a bit too much to manage on your own and you would like a personal guided tour of everything to show you around and get you started then please do ask. We can set up a mutually ideal time for us to show you around your client area, cPanel, setup emails and anything else you might want to get started with and answer any questions you might have.

We can either carry out your session on your computer via remote desktop or we can record the entire thing in a zoom-style session with screen sharing.

Asking for help
*************

If there is anything you're not sure about then please do ask us. We're here to help and like to hear from our clients so don't be afraid to pick up the phone, even if it's to say hello and introduce yourself or ask a few questions.

Feel free to log in and test out our support tickets even if it's for the sake of learning how to get help when you need it, or get us on WhatsApp for a chat. Just don't suffer in silence.

Your success is our Success!
