Additional Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems have been installed in the centro datacentre facility to a 2N redundancy specification. This new system provides unrivalled "Tier 4 datacentre" level protection on power to our servers, with independent "2N" UPS systems.

The new 2N system has already been installed and is awaiting switch over which we will perform during the following window:

Maintenance window: 21/07/2010 @ 00:15 to 21/07/2010 @ 00:45 (30 minutes)

We expect that the power downtime should not exceed 15 minutes and the network outage(s) should not exceed 15 minutes in total.

As our equipment uses a dual PSU configuration which is capable of operating on each PSU independently, this will not cause a total power loss as the A + B feeds will be moved independently of each other, with approximately a 30 second gap in between. We do however expect a brief network outage as network infrastructure is moved between power systems.
