Non-UK Domain Names - Registry changes

Thursday, September 3, 2020

This announcement is regarding some critical changes we are making to the registrations and renewals of all non .UK domain names.

The problem:

After more than 15 years as an ENOM Platinum partner, we can no longer continue with them as a platinum partner due to their excessive charges and total lack of any meaningful, competent support.

The Solution:

We are parting company with ENOM and going direct to TUCOWS forming a new, better relationship for longer-term growth.

Starting immediately, and over the next 5+ years, we will be transferring all international (NON .UK) domain name out of ENOM and over to TUCOWS.

How does this affect me?

It doesn't. You do not need to do anything at all, we will do everything for you. however:

To simplify everything and take care of all EPP codes and transfer approval emails, we will temporarily set just your "Registrant" email address to our own (doms@wesh.uk) temporarily.
(Approx 10 to 14 days) during the course of the transfer.

When we do this, you will receive an email from "name-services.com" informing you that your Registrant information has been successfully updated. No action is needed from you.

If you have any questions, please contact us by telephone or support ticket to ask.

We will only be moving domain names as and when they get within 60 days of their renewals.

What benefits can this bring for all of us?

Essentially this means we can avoid any future price hikes and can now look at discounts for those with large domain portfolios.

Anything I need to be worried about?

No. Nothing. Prices will remain the same or improve, further supporting the UK economy.

If you have domain names elsewhere and would like to support local businesses and our work with the RAF Air Cadets, then we would love to have your domain names with us and become your registrar of choice.
